In In year 2009, the NPC continued with the training programs and distribution of sports equipment to schools which were in the project since 2008.
Among the schools visited were:
Patandi P/School and Mringa P/ School (Arusha), Salvation Army, Pugu Secondary and Uhuru (DSM), Pongwe P/School (Tanga), Mwereni P/School Kilimanjaro), Nyangao P/School, Rahaleo P/School and Mtandi P/School (Mtwara), Nanyumbu P/Schooland Lukuledi P/School (Lindi), Bwigiri P/School (Dodoma), Furaha P/ School(Tabora), Kizega P/School (Singida), Katumba P/School (Mbeya), Msangano P/School (Ruvuma), Makalala P/ School, Kalenga P/School,
Lugalo S/ School and Ilula P/ School (Iringa) Parallel to the training program, revisiting the schools by NPC staff was very important in the following manner:
• To find out whether the previous distributed sports equipment are used for training or were not-the visit found that, some schools needed more
sports equipment.
• To find out whether, teachers/coaches received training program still doing that in their schools. the visit found that, in some schools,
teachers/coaches received training were either shifted to other schools or were passed away. Hence, the training and provision of more sports equipment was very important.
• To find out whether, players performed well during previous game are still training the visit revealed that, some of them still carry out training. Below is a list of schools visited from which 32 teachers got training from 19 schools in 10 regions.
